SHIPPING FAQ

HOW DO YOUR PACKAGES SHIP?

Most of our packages ship out with high-performance double insulation and ice packs. Some thawing is to be expected during transit. Transit times may vary. Please refrigerate or (re)freeze all products upon arrival.

WHEN WILL MY PACKAGE ARRIVE/DELAYS?

Please use the timetables above for the estimated arrival times.

We pack our products with insulation and ice packs to last a few days in case of an unexpected delay in transit. There may be unusual circumstances, such as severe weather, which are out of our control.

We can't guarantee a delivery time for any order. Deliveries may be as late as 8-9pm in some rural areas, especially during holidays.

In the event of a package delay, please contact us.

DO I NEED TO BE HOME?

A signature isn't required for your package. However, please arrange for someone to transfer your perishable items to the refrigerator or freezer when the package arrives. We recommend signing up for package notifications within the tracking e-mail.

We take great care to ship out packages on time and kindly ask you to do the same. Papa Wagyu, LLC will not be responsible for spoiled shipments from sitting outside in the heat and stolen packages after the carrier delivers them. Thank you for your help.

HOW DO I TRACK MY PACKAGE?

An automated e-mail from help@papawagyu.com with your tracking number will be sent by 10 pm on the ship-out date. Check your spam folder and contact us if you don’t receive the e-mail. Packages will be shipped regardless, and you are responsible for receiving the package.

• add help@papawagyu.com to your sender list

IS THERE A ORDER MINIMUM?

Yes, please note the order minimums (cart subtotal) above based on your shipping locations. Our website doesn't take orders under the minimums.

We offer the best products at the lowest prices. Due to the high cost of shipping and slim margins, we recommend you split an order with friends to offset the shipping cost.

WHEN SHOULD I PLACE MY ORDER?

We recommend placing your order at least 1 in advance and storing it in the freezer.

FROZEN STEAKS
• Ship frozen with ice packs and temperature control. Thawing is natural during transit.

• Thawing and detailed cooking instructions are at the bottom of each product page. Please follow safe-handling instructions.

Refrigerate in the coolest part of your fridge if you intend to enjoy your beef within 48 hours of the package arriving.

Freeze if you plan on eating on a future date - we recommend consuming within 1 month for freshness. Thaw in the coldest part of your refrigerator 24 hours before cooking.

faq

What is papa wagyu?

Papa Wagyu exists to connect people through exceptional food experiences.

Consider us your trusted wagyu guide and butcher shop combined into one.

We make it easy to uncover and enjoy the world's finest wagyu.
We're a team of wagyu experts who are passionate about sourcing exceptional beef and sharing the stories behind them.

Like wine, each brand/region of wagyu will be distinct from the others. Farms will differ in genetics, animal husbandry, environment, and diet. Learn the differences by tasting wagyu from different farms across the world.

How do you package your steaks?

After USDA inspection, master butchers cut the whole loins into individual portions. Our steaks are individually vacuum sealed in high-quality, airtight packages. The steaks are frozen after cutting in order to preserve quality and ensure a long shelf life in your freezer.

why are your steaks frozen?

Almost all of the sushi sold in the U.S. is stored in a deep freezer for food safety. Like butter, highly-marbled wagyu beef stores incredibly well in the freezer due to the high amount of intramuscular fat (marbling).

Due to the quality degradation, we don’t recommend freezing lower marbling beef, like USDA prime beef and lower grades.

storage & safe handling

Please have someone receive the package to transfer the perishable items into the refrigerator or freezer immediately.

We recommend placing your order at least 1 week in advance and storing it in the freezer.
